76 Degrees in January????

Can you believe it was 76 degrees today?????  Poor poor us come May, June, July, August, September, and probably October.  I don't like cold, but it beats the heat we are set to endure this next spring and summer.  Hubby is outside right now mowing the lawn, and when my daughter and I went to Marshall's today to look for a hand towel, people were looking a summer clothes.  They might as well pack away those coats and left over winter things that are left in the stores.  I do hope we get some more freezing temps before the heat stays with us, or we are going to be plagued by insects this year.

It was really wierd this past summer.  I think it must have been too dry even for insects here.  We usually have a million flies trying to get into our house when we barbecue, but this past year, there were no flies....not until Fall.  Then, all of a sudden, those pesky flies returned from their migration or whatever was keeping them away.  Oh, and because of the drought, we didn't get to barbecue very many times before all outdoor fires were banned.

On thing that hasn't changed from last year is the wind.....wind.....wind.....wind.  I am glad I switched over to wind energy, but good grief.....can't that wind just stay out where those wind turbines, or whatever makes the wind energy, reside?  I mean, it is ridiculous how long it stays windy around here.  The sad thing is, it's even too windy to enjoy the wind....a kite would get torn up in the gusts that we are experiencing.  Hence, the reason Hubby stayed home....to windy to hunt.

I guess I will go outside and enjoy what's left of the evening with him.  For tomorrow, the weather is supposed to change again.....I think I heard 52 will be the high.  No wonder so many people get sick!

The winter here has been fairly mild too until recently. I hope you all get plenty of rain this summer.
